FLOW SAFE'S CEO NAMED INVENTOR OF THE YEAR
Flow Safe has combined innovative thinking, an extensive R&D
program and manufacturing expertise to produce breakthrough solutions
to complex environmental control problems. Our main focus is to
provide cutting edge, industrial control technology for laboratory
ventilation to protect workers and help sustain, not harm the environment.
We realize that
the design, implementation and ultimate success of today's laboratory
ventilation systems requires the integration of health and safety
issues, fume hood operation, systems engineering, and energy conservation
techniques, in addition to equipment selection and maintenance.
Our commitment
to providing state-of-the-art, industrial, environmental controls
resulted in the world's first and only "real time" dynamic,
interactive fume hood containment system - VFV®.
In addition, Flow Safe's innovations have been awarded numerous
airflow patents over the last 2 decades. Flow Safe "firsts"
include: fume hood performance alarms, precise duct airflow measuring
with multi-point averaging at affordable prices, linear characterized
butterfly dampers for precise airflow balancing, and airflow control
with remote commissioning and auto zero and span
Most recently
Robert Morris, Flow Safe's president and CEO, was awarded the prestigious
"Inventor of the Year" by the New Jersey Research and
Development Council for our patented, high performance, bi-stable
vortex fume hood. The Bi-Stable Vortex fume hood technology
is the first major advancement in fume hood technology in 50 years
and has succeeded in solving the problem of high energy consumption
and poor containment found in conventional hoods. This has resulted
in better worker safety and conservation of the environment. This
fume hood is a critical factor in creating "green" laboratory
environments. Government studies indicate that if only half of the
existing fume hoods were replaced with high performance, low airflow
fume hoods, our nation would save 235 trillion BTU's of energy per
year. This is equivalent to the energy used by 6.2 million U.S.
households. Also, for every unit of energy saved, the unit of pollution
producing this energy is also saved.
Flow Safe products have been successful in helping building owners
enjoy financial benefits for realized energy savings. For example,
a recent laboratory upgrade project located in Bridgewater, NJ,
recently replaced 7 conventional hoods with 7 Flow Safe, high performance
hoods. The company received a $112,000 rebate from New Jersey's
Smart Start Energy Program as part of the overall laboratory upgrade.
Our high performance hood is a cornerstone in achieving a "green
laboratory environment" in accordance with the U.S. Green Buildings
Council's LEED rating system.
Flow Safe's
advanced technology provides our customers with unmatched accuracy,
reliability, safety and energy savings. Our manufactured products
are supported by an extensive customer service organization. When
choosing a Flow Safe product, our experienced and dedicated staff
will be with you every step of the way, from design concept until
after the contractors leave.
Scientific laboratories,
hospitals, and industrial accounts in the USA, Canada, and around
the world have come to rely on Flow Safe for industrial quality
airflow products and services.
